With kitchen trends constantly changing, many of our customers find themselves acting cautiously when it comes to following fashionable styles that could make their kitchen appear dated once they fade. How we overcome this, is by adopting design trends that reflect your tastes and adding individual features that suit your personality, you can easily ensure that your kitchen space offers the desired appeal that will last by utilising our latest kitchen design software.
We highlight some of the new kitchen styles, hues, finishes and Trends that will dominate 2016
At Signum Interiors, we love to incorporate metallic colours into our kitchen design projects, so we were thrilled to see that these trends continue into the New Year! Gold, brass and copper we class as Warmer metallic colours are predicted to gain popularity over the coming few months as they add warmth. It is however still possible to incorporate cooler shades if you are looking to create that sleek finish. By adding feature metallic light fittings and extravagant extractors that can be hung above an island to compliment your space can work well both with a contemporary feel or a more traditional look.
Pure classic crisp whites will still remain the forefront of the go to colours for the year ahead. With such a domination of grey hues in the past year these colours will look to feature strongly in the coming year too, but in much warmer tones muted greys such as sand and truffell. These can be seen in our Kitchen showroom from our German Range Rotpunkt. Accenting colours of this nature will work whether it’s in a period or a contemporary modern property.
Social gatherings and open plan living shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. This type of kitchen design style incorporates your kitchen, dining and living space all rolled into one, reflecting the way we cook ,socialise and entertain, wether its for family or friends. Multifunctinal spaces combine most of these activities so incoprorating islands, breakfast bars and peninsulars will take centre stage.
It’s clear to see that 2016 will be a strong year for kitchen design and installation, but some of the best trends are still yet to come!
